I didn't mind them after HW, but the entire design ethos of the ARR quests and the map design of the HW areas they're in (okay, mostly the Vanu Vanu) makes doing them a lot more tiring and less worth it. Focusing them down can make them feel a lot worse if you already hate them, too; even if you want to, say, unlock special dyes to upsell on the marketboard, doing them less frequently can help a lot.
They are also totally skippable. Unless the end unlocks and story are appealing (which is a hit-or-miss statement in ARR especially), no reason to force yourself to do them.

All I want from combat tribes is some manner of consumable to spend currency on. By the time you've finished the quest line, you've got more than enough to buy the standard: mount, minion, card, orchestrion roll, framer kit. After that, there's literally nothing to spend currency on besides furnishings and materia. Furnishings being useless if you don't do housing, materia being generally worthless unless doing high-end duties (and even then, hunt trains are so much faster for any materia needs).
Ventures would be the most obvious option, followed by aetheryte tickets. Both would be a fabulous way to spend the piles of currency you'll have if you dare to continue running quests after capping on rep just to level (or for tomes at level cap)
It would be inventory bloat, but I'd even accept a "lesser" option of giving all the tribes a special teleport token, similar to the GC aetheryte tickets, used to teleport directly back to the tribe; great to reduce flying around when you've completed quests, great to come back next day to do more, great to further save on teleport fees if you're going to the area... but again, bad for inventory..
Just, something of actual perpetual use to burn off currency.

I love the mounts and minions. Especially from Stormblood, shadowbringer, and endwalker. They’re awesome. I do wish there was a bit more rewards though, given the long time it takes to Max a tribe.

The rewards are fine overall, even if they can sometimes be hit or miss for the individual player.
Skip doing the tribal quests if the rewards don't interest you. Personally I find the XP for the daily 5 minutes of effort a nice little boost (except the ARR tribals /sigh) when leveling alt jobs even if I don't care about the rewards or already have bought what I want.
Speaking of ARR tribal rewards, dyes are something that SE should keep in mind as future tribal rewards. With the graphics update and the new second dye channel, hopefully they have plans to add new dyes after the bulk of the changes are implemented. It would be nice to see some new dyes added as future tribal rewards.
