this is something SE fell short on and they still fall short on is explaining specific jobs mechs and how certain jobs are played especially summoner and dark back then.

As a Lalafell, I would have to hope Carbies are totally weightless then, because if not, it would break my neck! lol

I would like them to be able to respond to minion like commands/interactions when not in combat though. Let it curl up in your lap if you’re sitting on your couch or something. Like you said, let it have a little more personality!

I doubt they’re going to remove it at this point. A lot of us love our Carbies! As for the benchmark though, I have high hopes that was actually something from Ramuh, and the Carby wasn’t present because it’s part of a summon’s action. :D

Yes I know… dataminers didn’t find anything but S.B. (iykyk), but it wouldn’t be the first time we’ve been surprised!

I still play SMN despite hating the rework, but I think I might drop it entirely (other than when I'm leveling SCH) if they removed Carbuncle completely. It's already bad enough at level 90 they take away your Carbuncle attacks and replace them with primals (Egi glamour exists! Let me use the animations I was using for 70 levels!), but deleting it entirely? There would be nothing left of a job I've loved since 2.0

Drop SMN as early as possible. If SE finds out that the veteran players drop playing SMN altogether, they will get the message that the monstrosity that is EW SMN is to blame.

That's why I have Carbuncle pet glamoured on SCH.

I kind of hope with lvl 100 summoner carbuncle and our gemstone summons can auto attack while we are attuned simmilar to Demi bahamut and demi pheonix, it dosnt need to be strong just an extra auto attack to make them do something otherwise just have us summon carby when we attune / use our shield insted of just having him disassociate in the middle of a battle.

the entire ACN class started as a pet class. It should retain its identity and can still be seen with SMN and SCH. The pet should take damage and gain enmity so we have another entity to manage. In fact, they could have just made the egi's do the attack that current SMN is doing then after some time, it can be enkindled to summon the bigger version of the primal. I really hate what they've done to the job.

I find it very odd that we went from having to protect our own carbuncles from getting nuked to Carby now protecting us while not being targetable. What strange times we live in. If they're going to keep carbuncles from little interaction can the glam be updated at least? How is it that Alphinaud is the only one to walk around with a white/silver carbuncle? (I kid on the Alphinaud part. Please don't take it seriously.)
