Over all I like the new better, though I agree about the hair being a little too bright. It might not seem as bright in other locations though.

Regarding the lips, they're both better and worse (strangely). It looks like you have No Lip Color for your appearance, in which case it's good to have the gloss gone. On the other hand, the new one looks like a single molded lip instead of 2 lips. I'd have a hard time really deciding until I could see the face being animated. I remember YoshiP pointing out how irises almost "shake" now so a character seem to be more looking than staring. Maybe watching the face animation over time will give similar life to the lips?

I agree with the softer but to me the face seems more "seasoned" not younger.

I'm using white on the light setting, I wanted to go for an almost no-lip look so the change is quite unexpected. Initially, I was really worried about the eyes in particular changing but they don't seem too bad, just a bit too full of life for my personal preference.

I think Lalafells won pretty big with the update, here's mine. I like that the eyes are more lit up but at the same time I kind of prefer the original.

Yeah, something about the lips I prefer in the old version but overall I like the changes to my character. The clothing really impressed me, the difference in the metals and the leather plus now the Lala scarves actually look like scarves, which is cool since they have a purpose in lore.

From Eorzea Encyclopedia:

1. The hair is... it looks... not as detailed as the original hair. I don't know. Maybe because of the way that the lighting affects it, but it looks flatter.

2. I also don't like how the lips look with the new lightning. It looks like it's slightly more upturned than before, which gives him a "smiling" look instead of a "frowning" look.

3. And I'm especially unhappy with the eyebrows, it's quite literally an entirely different eyebrow now than previously.

Otherwise, the ears look cool with the see-through portion.

Why did the eyebrows change so much? Now there is no option for a NON-tapered eyebrow, I specifically picked the eyebrows that I did when I started because it was straight.

I did have to tinker with the ring color, and I still couldn't quite manage to get one the right brightness, but otherwise I'm satisfied with how similar it is.

They murdered my girl... the dark pupils combined with the hellsguard nose rhinarium/mark being so much lighter is not a winning change.

REALLY not a fan, to the point where I'll probably be using the fantasia to play another race instead. Pretty sad about it, I was expecting just a bit of an upgrade but stuff like the entire nose and eye shapes being changed has just made her feel completely different now.
