Catchup system for Island Sanctuary?

Manually gathering for the exp is a massive waste of time. Occasionally after a rank up you'll need to manually gather to get new materials but outside of that you shouldnt touch that as soon as your granaries are giving you materials. I am onboard for reducing the exp needed to get to max rank though.

I suppose that would probably make sense for someone whose main focus is raising their rank. For me though, I'm more interested in accumulating the blue currency.

I'm guessing there would probably be a way to offset the costs of mammet automation if I crafted and sold the right things with the materials harvested, but my brain violently rejects putting any further effort towards figuring out what to craft because I find the process so draining.

You can already offset the price of the automation by selling the raw materials. Processing them is a bonus.

Yeah, there are extra tabs on the exporter mammet for selling crops and leavings for blue cowries. Extra good even if you are utilizing the workshop proper, cuz eventually you're stockpile of one thing or another is far more than you'll burn through.

I'm pretty sure that OP is thinking about ways to reach max rank faster.

And the sad reality is that, outside of manually managing Pasture and Farm (2200 XP/day) and doing the gathering circuit at the mountain peak, there is nothing else to increase the pace beyond the experience the Workshop gives until you get another Vision reward.

Still, there is still plenty of time before Dawntrail and several ranks take less than a week, so you'll have plenty of time reaching rank 20 before the new expansion.

I sort've just wish you could attend the garden from a menu as well as pay to let the mammets deal with it. Otherwise it's all pretty simple and straight forward.

If you don't want to run around and grind... don't. The quest give you a huge exp bump. When you get stuck (no quests left), just run your workshops for experience. You can manually feed/harvest from your animals/crops to get experience as well.

Given that there is no more content scheduled to come out, there is also no need to rush. You can pretty much set/forget your island once per week if you let the mammets handle the animals/crops. As long as you are crafting SOMETHING, I'm pretty sure you get the max exp from the workshops.
