In-game marriage, will it make a return?

well they seemed open to same sex couples for vday event so i dont see why this would be any different?

I'd be fine with it as long as same-sex marriage is allowed. I mean there are a lot of manthras running around anyways.

I hope they bring it back and also allow for same-gender couples as well.

If they did, I wish they'd have an actual dress. Opaline was pretty but it looked more like lingerie not having any sort of skirt attached.

I'd like to see some exclusivity in wedded couples, and as cool as shared mog housing/resources, or changing of character names I just don't see SE doing that. It'd be nice that, along with appropriate garb, that the characters got a permanent note as part of their profile that states whom they're wedded to.
For instance, if you check a character, along with their title and linkshell, it would also say "married to John Doe." Maybe even with a ring image. Sort of the way a real life ring advertises that you are in love with someone, but without docking stats off your character by having to swap out gear rings with your special one.

Maybe they could add a temporary garb option for your chocobo, like tying "just married" cans to its back end. Or let you arrive (cs/instance?) in a chocobo drawn carriage. The party room from XI would also be nice, for reception parties with your friends.
