Wuk Lamat VOICE ACTING APPRECIATION

Agreed. She has a strong, welcoming, feminine voice. Fierce but also timid and lovable. Her mysteries are more nuanced and layered than most NPCs we encounter where their story is beating you over the head visually and audibly.

Also I got the vibe she supposed to come across as a rebellious child or young adult so yeah, I wouldn't say they were trying to redo any previous characters such as Moen.

It's one of my favorite voices in the game. The excitement is infectious and clicks. I was saying in another thread, but it fits perfectly because Hrothgar are matriarchal and she comes across strong and tough like you'd expect. She sounds exactly like what you'd imagine a female Runar (Slitherbough) or Magnus (Twine) to sound like because of that accent they always give to hrothgars.

Her youth and naivity also comes across (and this is clearly intended, we were told she will grow through Dawntrail and become wiser).

it's something that has been missing, but clearly flawed and growing.

Just as SE intended with what they've told us about the characters expressing certain flaws/they not being perfect from the start like some other characters(who barely, or faced no development like a few poster characters. Who the most they got was a revelation of their emotions or just talking to us more, Period.)

While I don't really play the game in other languages, though I should, and want to.
(just easier to do so, as a Bilingual. who'd love to be a polyglot.)

It's gladening to hear that some others enjoy her VA in other languages.

as someone that was incredibly burnt out on the MSQ, especially because of how much of a boring, uneventful drag the whole void story arc was, Wuk Lamat as a character and Sena Bryer's performance was actually a pleasant surprise to me. honestly I'm not actually that bothered by the "quirkiness" of the character, it's not played up to be as annoying as it is in Marvel movies/other AAA games with the whole "erm... they're right behind me, aren't they?/well that just happened!" nonsense. it was a much needed break from how grating Y'shtola can be, if nothing else.

I'm very excited to learn more about her. The VA really got me immersed into her character and I'm itching for more already!

My partner's been obsessed with her, and I've been sending her Wuk Lamat memes since before the servers were even up, so two votes of approval here!

Sena is doing an excellent job. The character just oozes exuberance and false bravado. She's the epitome of "do it scared" and her bouncing off of Erenville was really fun.

Truthfully, her performance and this specific smaller patch got me more excited for Dawntrail than anything else. Also glad to have another main cast VA outside the traditional FFXIV Generic-Anglosphere that we've been stuck in for almost ever.

I saw all the negativity before playing the MSQ, but I thought her voice was good. I even switched back to japanese to rewatch a cutscene and hear the japanese voice, and I think the english voice is a little more fitting.

I agree, the VA was fine.

not impressed with fem hroth though, something about the face just.... they missed the mark with that race
