I agree with this. Some of the glows are cool, some are a bit much.

So much!!
Matte replicas are a thing of beauty! All relics should have them <3
Including btw the Amazing Manderville weapons, I know they are just recolors, but they should really have a matte version too :3
While we are talking about it, there is no dyable version of the laws order weapons without the glow either. I love the laws order machinist resistance weapon and have always wanted a dyable version without the blue glow!
the real question is why wasn't this already implemented like the last versions? this is another case of square cutting small corners in every facet of the game..
but what are we to expect when the relic just cut the middle man and is literally just a mindless roulette grind for a week per weapon, why have engaging quests when we can just tell the dog to fetch.
WoW has an illusion tab where you can unlock the special effect glamour and apply it to other gear. It would be awesome if SE could separate the SFX from the weapon, such that you could not only remove it, but also 'move' it. Another huge reason to collect fancy weapons in that you could use it on other stuff. Relic effect on whatever weapon you want, or ultimate even.

Definitely agree, I miss having multiple steps added during the update with the base weapon, then base weapon but dyable, then dyable weapon + glow effects. Really disappointing it's just lumped together now and we are losing the freedom to choose which part we like.
Matte versions of all relic gear would be great. Some of them have really nice models that you'll never see under all of the obnoxious glowing effects.
I'd like semi-matte weapons. The monk weapon would make no sense without the beam knife, but the rings can go.
Make them rewards of a grueling grind, otherwise don't bother.
