this is kind of a bad take mate.
the content of this xpac is pretty doable within a week of it launching, your ideal of content is do ever side quest and get every achievement? sure guys if you dont kill all the s ranks 5000 times you still have content to do.. repetition is not content.. if you play the game when content comes out you already completed old content, so saying go do old stuff is redundant right?
December 7, 2021, thats when endwalker launched. its 2024.
If repetition isn't content, then isn't ALL content in the game just one-and-done? Aren't all relic grinds of the past that have been praised as 'good content' just repition of stuff youve already done 20 times over? What's the difference between repitition for achievement kind and repitition for stuff like relics or grinds in exploratory zones?
but the problem i see is when we get the content we are expected to get, people are going to complain that its too much content for them to handle...at what point do we say that the community is to blame too with the game stagnating instead of blaming only the devs? people say shadowbringers was the best expansion ever...but that had the lowest amount of content in any of ffxiv and the content we got was dumbed down from the previous expansion...the only reason why shadowbringers didnt get as much hate as endwalker was asmongold came and the wow exodus brought in new people to the game
Blue Mage casts Doom
meaningful reward, why would i grind a beast tribe past max rank if i have all the rewards?
is a achievement really a meaningful reward for 99% of the player base?
clearing a raid for bis gear? thats a reason to keep trying, to bad we get 4 raid bosses per 12 month cycle
we pay for this game, sure some people will complain there is more content then they care to do, but hey easy answer, they just can not do it. but to deny people that actually want to play content because you only want to log in once a year is idiocy..
if you dont want to play the game then dont, but dont tell us we cant play because your busy playing baldur's gate instead.
And then you see the "argument" that we are burned out ... burned out of what actually ? That doesn't make sense when the complain is that there is not enough content in each patch.
"Ho you complain that you want more stuff to do ? Then it's because you don't want to do stuff anymore !" The level of mental gymnastic is amazing :D
Achievements could be a decent activity to keep people interested longer if they actually had long term cumulative achievement point rewards.
As things currently stand you only need a couple thousand achievement points to clean out the shop then suddenly 90% of the achievements are now pointless fluff.
