combat on the days i'm off so the island is good to keep me interested during the week

I admit, I enjoy logging on after a long day, going to my island, walking around a bit in my island glamour, checking the profits for the day and setting up the next day, getting the animal droppings/crops and then maybe frontlines and/or another roulette and calling it a night. It's a nice activity, very easy, good rewards (mounts/glamours) and I like to see the island develop.
I know people think non-combat content isn't really content, but I don't need combat all the time, especially when I don't have a lot of time, and I don't use FFXIV for socializing at all.
as I rather suspected when it was announced, it was Garrisons: FF14 style.
it has some time waster things with it, but overall, was not something I was interested in. certainly not something I would class as a high point to the expansion for casuals or anyone else really. some people like it so thats good, just not my cup of tea
How was it the worst for raiders?
4 unreals.
7 extremes.
12 savages.
3 criterion and savage criterion.
2 ultimates.
Has never been better for raiders in terms of content produced.
The issue has been whether the content is rewarding, and lack of content for when you're not raiding that takes more than 2 minutes a day, such as relic grinds.
So it was the worst for people who are not casual and also don't raid.
I thought EW was the worst for casuals
Relic grind got removed
no exploratory zones
island sanctuary is something you spend 10 minutes setting up, then come for a back a week later to collect and setup again.
Variant is something you do a maximum of 12 times for mount/glams, then never again
That leave you with doing roulettes I guess
Idk about raiders, but didn't they get the same amount stuff they always get? 12 raids, extremes and a ultimate or two
Raiders got:
12 Savage Fights
2 Ultimates
2 (soon to be 3) Criterion
Standard Extreme Fights
Unreals
Casuals got:
Island Sanctuary
Fall guys
lol
You're forgetting the best part: it lets us play other games. For just $13 a month, we can play all the other games we want (sold separately). Casuals love playing other games, and FFXIV is the best MMO for that. You don't even have to log in anymore. Isn't that fantastic?
Yep. You see, the most important part of Final Fantasy XIV isn't the game itself. It's the fact that you're on the right side of history. WoW is on the wrong side of history. Being anti-FFXIV is wrong. We don't like WoW. We're the best MMO right now and everyone should switch to FFXIV so they can play other games.
