here are some examples. these threads are not meant to start legitimate discussion, theyre made to annoy people, which has been working... by baiting people to argue over politics... its quite gross actually taking advantage of actual LGBTQ issues to rile up the forums

I guess those aren't really what I had in mind because some of those just feel really out there to me. Not bad ideas, just not really something that feels super impactful in my personal opinion.

not quite yet its not. that thread only exists because they feel ignored. its been 2 years since 6.0 and not a word

You do realise that a thread asking for people to stop trolling does nothing but feed the trolls more. You're giving them even more attention then bumping their thread. You made a whole new thread just about them.

There's always going to be people who will engage with the troll threads. You could just, not open those threads. Simple as that.

honestly, ive seen that not working. seen it do absolutley nothing for the issue. so yes i made one of those "please stop" threads like the other 5million people sick of this, have i added to this issue by talking about it. oh probabbly.. but is it becomming completly out of hand. absolutley/ every single thread is the same nonsense drowning out good legitimate threads, hence why our good fellow above didnt even know half of them excisted. this thread is here to give voice and validation to the people SICK of seeing them, to the devs moderating the forums that we ARE SICK of them being enabled. and to make certian users take a long hard look at there own history and how it may have contrinuted to the issue.

so no, i wont sit here silant anymore because its "easier, and wont draw them attention" this thread will continue to be engaged in so long as those posts continue to thrive, and when those trolls succeed in reducing the forums to 5 users posting the same memes over and over, this threadwill serve as proof that we did try to stop it, even if it be in vain.

and if they should so happen to grace this thread with there presence, only to say "oh well never stop" then at least itl be all the easier to add them to the filter list, perhaps even to encourage others to do the same

I personally don't see this thread staying active. The only reason the troll ones stay active is due to negativity (drama) attracting everyone to it.
