B-but Yoshi P is one of us! He’s even a former MMO player! Did I mention he flashes his cool rings and is super hip? Go back to WoW hater….wait actually no don’t do that because WoW sucks! You can go play other games though (not really just stop posting is all we want)
It's pretty clear their main metric is not at all fun or engagement factor but activity/clear/earn rates. If you don't like something and you want it fixed, you need to cease reward hunting from it and never queue for it. Otherwise, if you earn that reward than they deem it a success and that it has served its purpose. It's pretty scummy we're at a point now where for them to listen, we need to activity avoid finishing the final relic step for them to consider it feedback.
Where did he say he didn't like the game?
I'd like to know how you arrived at such a conclusion.
He criticizes CBU3's choices based on statements in recent interviews that clearly indicate that player feedback goes in one ear and out the other,
he mentions that a large portion of the feedback is ignored because the developers are convinced that the current design of the game is good.
This has nothing to do with whether he likes FF14 or not.
I just wish they didn't come across as so distant and removed from what's going on in the game as these recent interviews suggest. But sadly this is the only natural outcome that would have come from only focusing on numerical data and not taking the time to comb through what players are saying.
They need to get their finger on the pulse again but by this point Endwalker can't really be salvaged, and the expectations laid out for Dawntrail don't really paint the strongest image for this game's future. It looks like it'll just be another Endwalker 2.0, and that's the last thing FFXIV needs right now.
I still don't see where he said he didn't like the game in that sentence, or maybe we have different interpretations of the readings.
To me, the meaning he's conveying is more about players not having to worry about the game anymore because their feedback won't be listened to.
There's nothing to assert whether this person likes or dislikes the game.
Ok bye?....but we all know you aren't leaving the game so stop with the theatrics.
Not every player concern is a valid one. And yes they (the devs n such) do get things wrong as does anyone but to say CBU3 no longer cares is just flat out a falsehood. Are they misguided with certain things? I'd agree with that.
This logic has always been weird. What good is a house in a game you don't enjoy? Paying 15$ a month to keep a house you're most likely doing nothing with makes no sense. Folks will blame SE but it's the players making the choice to fork over that money.
This begs the question...what defines what's fun? Cause while many say they aren't having fun many say they are. No real definitive answer there.
