So how do ppl go about capping INT on mnk? If i got the DL Corselet i could cap my str, but int would still be pretty far off.
Meld INT to the head, then fill out the rest with food and accessories.
Monk is arguably the hardest job to cap out. I personally have 3 tripple melds to accomplish this. I have a 50 INT Raptor skin pot helm, a 48 STR set of Fingerless Raptorskin gloves of slaying and some Felt Trousers with 27 STR on them. Right now I actually use an INT bracelet, the explorers ring and a STR ring, with food I cap out current weapons although when I get relics I will have to use another STR ring as caps will most likely go up to 362:316 ish, idk need to test it once I get it. I know a few of our monks that have the Corselet have the same leg and hand triple melds but use the DL eyepatch and all INT accessories which gets them to the 350 STR and 310 INT mark.
Yes those are the caps for Ifrit's claws, Garuda's talons are higher but I don’t think by that much with respect to INT at least, not sure where you heard that. Based on what we know about stat caps at various DPS values I can estimate it though. I do not claim this is exactly accurate by any means as I don’t believe the stat caps reported are accurate down to the integer. However if 39.7 DPS Ifrit’s claws have stat caps of 350:310 and the 36.74 DPS Ifrit’s bow has stat caps of 330:300 assuming like everything else in this game stat caps go up in a liner fashion you can draw the conclusion that a 1 DPS increase raises stat caps by 6.666:3.333. Thus Garuda’s Talons would have stat caps of 359:315 rounding to the nearest integer. That being said I’m not totally convinced those are the true stat caps for each weapon and thus not convinced about the above Garuda’s Talons prediction. I will however be testing the Monk Relic as soon as I get it which depending how Ifrit Extreme goes should be this weekend. I’ll report my findings as soon as I am comfortable with them.
Just wanted to mention there's a gc officer's hat for flames that has 40 Int with sanction. It's another option to consider as an upgrade over AF.
Think my semi ghetto cap setup without darklight is:
Double melded int hat +36 int
Triple melded gloves +50 str
Flame Sergeants Tabard +10 str
Flame Sergeants Sash
Flame Sergeants Bracelets +7 int
Double melded Felt Trousers +19 vit +21 str
Rubelite Ring +1 18 str
Zircon Ring +1 18 int
Main problem is accuracy isn't that great for certain fights. With a triple meld hat you can swap in an acc ring which would help. This is also assuming you have access to GC gear from Uldah.
