Why can't FFXIV be more like Starfield

Mileage will vary depending on the individual. Personally, I thrive on going solo, though I'm not opposed to playing with friends if given the opportunity.

true it varies i just chalk it up to im getting old cuz when i was younger i didn't care solo, multiplayer at all but ever since i got into my mid 30s i steered more towards multiplayer and don't buy solo games.

I don’t intend on playing Starfield any time soon. Maybe down the road in a year or two if I have time. Bugfixes and extras should be out too by then. I also like to mod these games and the knowledge base and tools become more sophisticated with time.

completely fair point, also Bethesda mod community is amazing at times so if you wait there will probably be some very impressive mods out for the game.

yup and I like to mod them myself too. Another thing with Bethesda’s games is that they release the expansions when I am done with the game so I never get to play them…I never feel like restarting such a long game. I will just wait this time. I am no longer at the age where I feel the need to get things on day 1.

that is fair and understandable cuz sometimes Bethesda expansion stories are better than the main ones, like imo i love Oblivion but the Shivering Isles expansion story was soooooo good imo it made the Oblivion storyline look worse. Honestly i still like it over Skyrim story as well.

If you're really struggling, double zimmermans and songbirds will carry you through, although it feels a bit cheaty at times. I had to be super aggressive for most bosses, and then get even MORE aggressive. Assault boost with the flying drop kick to start off a fight is incredible lol

Same for me, I'll be upgrading my PC in a year or two, so Starfield can wait. Not really wanting to get an XBOX just for Starfield, especially with the relatively mild reception it's currently getting. Not convinced it'd be a sure hit for me.

really mild reception??? i haven't watched but i saw on twitch the beta was out and not looked at any gameplay but that is interesting.
