I was under the impression that people only went to fanfest for the live concert and the disgusting greasy hairy orgy afterwards. And even then, the cost is exorbitant when you add up travel fees and hotel costs. Do people really go just for the advertisements that they could've watched at home in a livestream for free? No way.
Same as usual announcements of expansion name, general idea of the expansion, teasing to new jobs, and some screenshots of new stuff. I wouldn't discount a sneak peak at graphics rework or Female Hrothgar.
Yes but the first Fanfest in NA was canceled,
and they merge the content in the second numerical fanfest in nagoya due to the covid (
February 6).
that's why the sage was in the first one because there were only two numerical fanfest.
if we follow the logic here there will just be a yoshi-p t-shirt for people to speculate on the first job featured, but it certainly won't be until the eu fanfest.
Realistically, they won't cover much about the expansion at all. They usually do not give us much in the first fanfest. They'll probably show a few teasers like the graphic updates. Female Hrothgar maybe. If we're lucky, MAYBE a job teaser, hint, clue, reveal, ect. They are fairly inconsistent on that. For the most part I'm expecting the 6.5-part 1 Live Letter and very very minimal 7.0 news.
Yes they don't really go into details about the first Fanfestival, it will remain vague with some clues and they will certainly talk mainly about the future of Final fantasy 14 from a TECH shadow/light/DX12 point of view, the graphic update (textures, preview trailer, etc,...),
maybe an extended interdatacenter travel between EU-NA, JP-Oceania.
But we will have relatively minimal information on 7.0, the major information will certainly not be before the EU and JP fanfests.
The first fanfest usually only gives enough clue to speculate, and yoshi-p's famous t-shirt for tease the EU fanfest job.
