Apperance change: Sooner than later, please?

Not to be rude but if you only have 1-2 level 50 and without anything that great stuff it would be easy to give all your gil to a mule and all your stuff and start over it would only take 1-2days to get back to 50 with a powerlevel or a few hours a day soloing/ doing leves.

Sadly it's a waste of money/time to find a way to allow players to change there char i don't even think they can do it with imitation of ffxiv coding/servers that we have in 1.0.

Also FFXIV may have a end of 2012 release or Q1 of 2013 but everyone playing now would be playing FFXIV 2.0 before it really release to everyone else. Around Oct we get Beta then it would take about 2-4weeks to get all our chars over to 2.0 which mean we be playing FFXIV 2.0 late oct/nov of this year while new players would have to wait for the release in the stores.

You forgot the mention that they're still using crystal tools...

Ok...

I think the reason they are waiting for the character revamp is because they want to let us make the new characters on the new engine, new graphics settings, etc.

If you remake your character now, it might not look exactly like you made it once 2.0 starts cuz of the different graphic stuff.

That's what I heard anyway.

I wish I could delete this thread. To think I used to hold the entire community of this game in such high regards.

I appreciate the kind responses the rest of you have given. Sorry for making this thread.

on a side note, a quick look on your pads show that, what, its not too late to re-roll
so why not

just start over people can hit your characters levels in 2 days with out trying.

It's only "rude" because you didn't like it. That was simply a statement, everyone else is waiting, why can't you? And as for the tone, you can only interpret so much from text in the first place. rudeness is in the eye of the beholder, so whether there was any rude intent or not, the receiver can call it rude all they want. But doing so just causes other issues.

My actual main is 50 with dragoon which I understand might not seem like much to you guys. It took me quite a bit of time to get there and I couldn't justify throwing all that time spent away. That's ignoring all the help that I received along the way from the very kind people in my linkshell that went out of their way to help me with quests and whatnot. My free time is limited so it would take me a while to get back to that point.

Anyway, just forget it. Like I said, I'm sorry I made this thread. I had no idea it would lead to these kinds of responses. If I could just delete it I would.
