What jobs are people generally hoping for now?

After Sage, I think Im good on Healers...but I still like the idea of a Chemist Healer or even a Geomancer.
Otherwise I like the idea of Rune Fencer or a Beast Tamer.
Im not sure how it would work but Songstress/Sin ger would be interesting.
Or a Berserker.

Transformation focused job, originally dark theme'd but given Reaper I'd probably stray from that and go towards Zodiac / FFXVI style (which is primal, but here in FFXIV I'd avoid SMN's toes).

Brute mage, like a Golbez, Ex-Death, Sauron. Thought Geo-Knight. Gravity magic, on top of CNJ focused elements (Earth, Wind, Water), would be okay with all of them but it depends on if it dilutes the imagery or makes RDM / BLM seem like echos.

Give blue mage more interesting combinations of spells, perhaps better realized by underlying deeper systems, even perhaps to the point of unlock encouragements and slotting or staff effects like how FFXI blue had a passive system, just in general give it fuller depth. Especially 50 and earlier which as someone who leveled alone was painful to say the least (it does get better, especially if someone force feeds you good spells or helps you level, but I'm still annoyed, first world annoyed- it's still just a game, that 1 to 50 was stamped okay lol). 1 to 50 include removing / improving gameplay killing spell designs like self stuns, or inferior spells standing next to 'please spam me to the moon and back' superior spells. Personally heavily dislike that they left the trinity to instantly go right back into the trinity (at least for solo purposes, 'meh' for party play- feel they could have gone more GW2 approach with interesting combo system instead of rigid stances), staying within the system might be like maybe basic instinct upgrades into primal instinct after you complete the entire carnival or something (50% tank and damage stance, 100% healer- all stance specific effects are active). Maybe... give BLU a normal side... .... lol :3

Perhaps a holy based DD job, as we don't really have one at the moment.

At this point. Probably another tank but only if they literally copy and paste warrior, change the name and icon of the abilities and give the weapon a different look.

I believe this to be a realistic and plausible expectation.

I mean the gimmicks or features that make it special, or is it really just the fun of smashing a ball into another's face that is the core desire?

We need another caster DD.

And DDs which are slooow but heavy hitting.

A melee with a big 2-handed hammer or sword, a ranged with a huge gun or crossbow.

The only real slow DD is BLM, many casts are longer than the GCD and they have no off-GCD attacks.

Another spellcaster that's actually casting & not with SMN's design template.

And maybe another hybrid-like job akin to RDM made into 2nd scouting melee.

Time mage as a Tank, Use a big hammer like Gaia, melee with occasional hardcasts, maybe an invuln that snapshots your health then returns you to that after 10 seconds.

If I had to guess that's what they would pick.
