It is really noticeable, same with the clubbing scene "RP".

Back then roleplayers were seen as these weird nerds sitting at a table and rolling dices and chanting weird satanic incantations. Nowadays people think of clubbing and erp when you mention roleplay.

While that is not bad, everyone can have their fun in my opinion. It is sad that the origin of roleplay is basically forgotten and clubbing and erp is now so popular and go hand in hand. So popular that we have billboards advertising for brothels and brothel managers giving interviews to streamers, lol.

It’s less that and more “traditional high fantasy RP is a minority compared to erp and club culture”

A lot of trad RP often ends with someone wanted it to become erp
