HTTPS System Error [-113]

Tried it on the Steam Deck and it worked for me.
I also can recommend to use the latest GE Proton version if you are using the non steam version which was my case

Thank you Nightroad! I only had to delete FFXIV_BOOT.cfg and it worked c:

If you're on steam deck, it does take quite some navigating to the right path
For me, it was:
Home/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/312060/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My Documents/My Games/Final .../

This work for me on my steam deck. However SE made me change my password as it said it detected "suspicious activity". At least it's fixed now though.

I did this, but after editing the FFXIV_BOOT.cfg file again (Browser=1, BrowserType=1) I am getting the same error.

Hope you tried clearing internet explorer/edge browser cache. The launcher uses it and sometimes they can get corrupt

I don’t have Internet Explorer on my Steam Deck. But I did already try deleting web browser data under Internet > Advanced settings.

The launcher works without the files edited, but it’s asking me to link my SE account to my Steam account. Which I don’t want, because I don’t want to rebuy the game again.

I didn't edited the Browser Type and it worked for me with the non steam version. I just edited the StartupCompleted to 1

Hmm i tried deleting the cfg files on steam deck and it's still not working for me. (Non-steam version)

Out of desperation I just changed both of these values to 2 and it worked for me. I honestly have no idea why
