I throw a regen before the tank pulls :3
I can't really think of anything interesting to say about when I was a sprout except maybe that I was really, really, reaaaaally bad?
I was standing at Tam-Tara entrance to offer my help among new players.
A young player arrived and asked in /say chat : "Hello, do you want to play with me ?"
Simple things like that... :)
Watching a mentor try to tell a sprout how to tank for an entire dungeon, the sprout proceeds to pull out the TOP paladin weapon and tell the mentor to get good before giving out advice.
To be honest, I always appreciated the advice offered by experienced players when I was a sprout. I quickly learnt to 'voice' the fact that it was my first time in the instance of whatever team content I was playing, and nine times out of ten was given guidance and pointers, as well as heals, to get through that content.
I wish I could do the same for Sprouts now that I've been playing the game for slightly over a year, but I'm actually still pretty rubbish at the game and am in no position to offer advice about anything other than being patient when floor-tanking!
Got a sprout tank in alliance raid (crystal tower) who ended up tanking the behemoth after the other 2 tanks died to meteors. As soon as he got aggro he started screaming in alliance chat "SOMEONE HELP ME" over and over again even though his HP was fine.
NGL even though I know this isn't WoW but as someone who started in November I have not tanked a alliance raid despite it being my main job just from the fear of failing due to not knowing the mechanics and getting harassed about it.. same reason I haven't tried party finder for any EX or savage content or yet I just have too much PTSD from how I was treated bout every lil mistake I am still afraid of entering them as tank and failing the group....hell I only do expert and lvl 90 dungeons with my best friend if he doesn't play I skip them too...
I wouldn’t worry. People die all the time in alliance. Sometimes whole parties wipe due to healers dying. If people cared, they are the wrong sort of people whose opinions you should give any weight. Throw yourself in there and tank it
But on a personal note, I have more respect for tanks who off tank the little mobs in trash floors than I do for ones who fight over the main singular mob
