There is a bug that makes entering the house sometimes not reset the timer. Interacting with an object overcomes that bug. Its no more misinformation than saying "use The Club or your car will get stolen, even with locks".

Calling OP a troll for trying to help people keep their houses through the innocent activity of *checks notes* clicking on something sure is the weirdest take I've seen on these forums in a while.
Edit: I'm over my post limit for the day.
That doesn't make it trolling. Jesus Christ.
No, because as PredatoryCatgirl already pointed out, there's a bug that makes the timer - on very rare occasion - not reset. What I find annoying is you and Stormpeaks ripping into OP for trying to be kind.
Except its false information, because you dont need to interact with any item in the house to cancel auto demo.
And Atelier Bagur provided evidence of their claim that you dont need to click on anything, linking to an official article from SE.
Considering his responses to me, I'd say its pretty much trolling, instead of simply admitting that they're wrong they just start posting cringe gifs and acting smartQuote:

Has never been proven with evidence, so its just "yeah this happened" with source "trust me bro"Quote:

*literally edited the original post to make you happy*
False info or not...it's just a safety blanket. It hurts no one to do or not do it.
Ok but actually I had this bug that occurred to a friend of mine who unfortunately lost her house because of it. So it wasnt enough to just click an object.
It turns out, you need to go in and out of your house 3 times, clap your hands and spin while singing Blood on the Dance Floor, then go back in, go into the settings and switch your lights to dim 3 (if it already is, then switch it to either 2 or 4), go outside to the markets of your residential district and sell items in exactly 76 worth of gil and then go back in and slightly adjust the position of any item placed there to the northwest corner and place it back.
Then it'll reset the demolition counter
You could also enter the estate, then check the timer in the Duty Timers. If it there, exit and re-enter (or touch an item or whatever). If it isn't there, congratz, it reset.
Storm, I'm sorry I didn't have the foresight to take video evidence, multiple screenshots and send you a TeamViewer code so you could watch first-hand but after my specific incident where myself and the person I'm on a shared with literally logged in at the same time to reset our own specific privates and they lost theirs a couple weeks later by only walking in and out, I'll continue to turn my lights on and off as a precautionary measure. Believe or not, no skin off my bones, this is just a weird hill to die on instead of letting people do what makes them comfortable.
