Yes, when you rerun events with the same rewards you don’t give anything to the veteran players. When there’s rewards for everyone then we all win.

You’ll notice in that post how the OP was interested in the car. If they want to develop original content then I’d be even happier. But this is a solution to provide something grindy for those who want to keep playing the game and want a new reward out of it.

If it came across as “I want new events instead of the same ones every year” = “never add new rewards as a replay incentive” then that wasn’t my intention.

I do support your idea to better utilize the achievement currency as well. There should be enough to keep people going for more achievements.

they probably mean interact with the world, msq is a single player experience and doesnt affect the game around it

the game feels very dead outside cities cause there is no incentive to just go out and interact with the game, the game is more than just the msq. If anything, there needs to be less incentive for anything MSQ related

I can agree with this sentiment, anything to give life to the overworld. I will counter that there is no need to create a fork on the road. When we can come up with low effort feedback that can give players who want to sink time into the game a reason to do so then there’s no reason they couldn’t all be taken into account, or at least a group of them.

So adding a couple of achievement outfits for NG+ does not mean they can’t also come up with overworld activities.

However, I would encourage you rather than just give reasons for being upset, which I feel are valid, also come out with suggestions to add that would make it better?

There has been countless suggestion, and enough other games to look at where the overworld doesnt feel dead, but its always deflected with "but what if i want to afk in limsa???? i only have time to play 10 minutes per month!!!"

I suggest we keep them coming, I do get a lot people deflecting or trying their hardest to find a flaw in the feedback to get their gotcha moment or “deny” the suggestion.

But if anything the devs can look at those reasons and ideally design a better system than the one suggested instead of just choosing not to do anything and give the people who don’t want any content the win.

Either way. The game dies when people give up and stop caring about it so until that happens when I think of something I’ll put it here.
