So you think its okay that they neglect to update a system and just throw small steps in news articles and emails that can trip players up who just want to play a game? You're cool with how they have handled the housing system in general?

Look anyone defending this practice. I hope your gym membership gets downgraded cause you haven't visited after a month when you just paid for it. I hope your seat warmer function gets removed from your cars during winter because you didn't use it in the summer despite paying your car bill. I hope your ISP reduces you down to 20 mb from 1 gig speed just cause you didn't reach the threshold of use every month even though you use it. I could go on. Probably outrageous examples but if your defending an outdated system that punishes players who are ONLINE, then I hope you have something similar to complain about in the near future so others can tell you, its not the company or the systems fault, its YOU!

God I wish it was that easy to be rid of a gym membership. Those guys are vultures.
But seriously, the housing demolition is a necessary evil until SE can figure out housing for all.

I do not disagree with you, but they have logs on everything you do. There is logs of me removing and moving items in my yard. But I lose it due to me missing out on one small step that I never thought would be an issue. If I am using the housing function itself, its being USED. That should be necessary enough. This is lazy and punishing people for this small mistake is just not right.

If I didn't show up and logged in on the 21st or even used any housing function. I would be inclined to agree with everyone I wasn't using the house so I lost it. I might of been mad but it seems like a fair notion.

But I indeed did use the house! Thats the discrepancy in this case. I know I am not the only one who fell victim to this. I don't want this to happen to anyone else!

I really sympathize with you, I'm so sorry this happened and I understand your frustration which is very valid. SE loves to make you jump through hoops just to get your stuff..I'd quit if I lost my houses it's why I paranoid go into them every other day.

It's a scuffed system that no one should defend. It should detect you somehow entering the garden/threshold of the house. Or even moving furniture outside. It's so dumb and unfair. I think if your sub is active then your house should never be exposed to auto-demolition as well. Then again I think housing for all would be nice, but it's this fomo thing that keeps people paying subs to keep their houses...so I doubt it'll ever be a thing.
