Honestly, a lot of old skills end up off for good due to button bloat. I wouldn't mind seeing a "stance" option for MCH that swapped between a set of single target skills and a set of AOE ones- giving you the option to either be in "clear the dungeon pack" mode or a single-target "boss killer" one (but cooldown skills would share a timer with their stance-brother). A lot like how Drill and Bioblaster share the same cooldown- this way they'd be the same button with Bioblaster in AOE mode and Drill in single target mode.
That'd let things like Grenado Shot show up again because it'd be part of AOE mode, and let you plug in things like the MCH sniper rifle for single target (reconfiguration?) as swaps for, say Flamethrower.
Grenade Shot and Bishop Turret for Machinist.
Miasma and the DoT effect Art of War used to have on Scholar.

The old Red Lotus sword weaponskill from 1.0 for GLA/PLD (I'd also say old-school 1.0 Rage of Halone with it's five-hit burst, but RoH now gets replaced by Royal Authority anyway so this is probably redundant.)
Also speaking of GLA/PLD, Convalesence as an emergency heal potency boost for a critical situation such as a tank buster (maybe put it on a long cooldown to avoid it being spammed).
And although they got a bad rap, Protect and Stoneskin on CNJ/WHM - they did save my butt as a tank more than I care to aknowledge.

I would like to see Aero 3 returned with a rework that creates a reward system for maintaining good Regen uptime. So have Aero/Dia and Aero 3/Whatever it upgrades into (I'm partial to Aeolus since it ties in with Dia) function like BLM's Thunder spell but have them proc off of Regen/Medica 2 so that there's some synergy within the toolkit. The DPS and Healing side of healers is too disjointed and does little to promote the use of one over the other. Having more rewards for healing besides just Misery would give WHM a nice little niche as a Healer with Nuke spells that they utilize off of healing. They've already taken a step in this direction with Misery, they just need to expand on that to the DoT.

Nocturnal Sect, but make it change the color scheme for our visual effects to something darker and colder.
Although I'd rather see them just give us new cards altogether (preferably a deck that uses all the cards), if needs must, I'd also like to see Heavensward's cards returned to us, but with an edited Balance card that doesn't grant a % damage buff.
I'd like to see WHM get their elemental spells back, either as an alternative or as variable special abilities that alter their effects based on lily usage.
