More Ads that Miss the Mark

Do you ever do anything other than complain?

Advertising can be about targeting different markets, within reason, and considering nearly all of WoW's ads are exactly like this, I don't see why it's not something that would work.

Hardcore raiding gamer bros don't need advertising, they travel by word of mouth and 4chan green texts, and follow their statics wherever they go.

This game is foremost a Final Fantasy game, which means the story is front and center, so why would advertising the story aspect of the game be a mistake?

And it's kinda hard to take your "hardcore raider" persona seriously when you have a demon-twink-roleplayer profile. And don't you spend all your time hanging out in Limsa anyway?

Yeah, that looks quite dumb. You shouldn't be surprised, though. RPG is now mainstream and that is exactly what the mainstream likes, even if it looks fake as fuck. Hell, there's even a D&D film just about to come out and I can't wait to see how shit it is.

I dont think he's saying that as a hardcore raider and I never got the impression that he was one. I dont even remember seeing him in the big threads about the last savage tier. The thing he is hardcore about is writing fanfics.

I have seen different kind of ads for this game, even one where they showed jobs and gameplay. More than one thing can exist you know.

I would say who cares about what their advertising people do so that the game continues to be enjoyed and developed... but obviously you do. this may not be the game for your group of 20-somethings, but that does not mean it wouldnt be for others. give it a rest, if for no other reason than your mental health and a better outlook on life.

you are in obvious need of a lot of time in a game you enjoy. and this is clearly not the game.
