How do you enter the housing lottery?

You might have misread or misunderstood the reply.
Lottery period is 5 days.
But you can only SUBMIT ONE BID within that period.

There's no might have about it.

Each lottery period lasts 9 days. They are split 5/4. 5 days for people to enter a bid and 4 days for the winners to claim their plots. The losers have 90 days to claim their gil back. You may only bid once per lottery period per character per world. You may only choose between a personal bid or a free company bid. The current lottery is in the claiming phase. The new lottery will begin on the 15th of January at 15:00 server time. Just because you enter a bid does not guarantee you a plot. I've just paraphrased what SE has said so I'm a big butt and I cannot lie.

All I did was provide you the two links that give you everything you need about housing purchases. Why should I produce something else someone already said? Did you need confirmation?

Me being a butt would have told you to, oh I don't know - maybe read it over and over until you do comprehend it, especially the part where you can't even enter the lottery until 15.JAN 2023, as the reason for my first link:

Sunday, January 15, 2023 at 7:00 a.m. (PST)

It's taken directly from there, the patch notes for 6.3 under Housing, and even third-party sites.

Yet, I'm the 'butt' because I gave information for you to read. Must be a hard life.
