instant portrait not working?

The feature is nice but clunky.
I hope they make it easier to display properly and change as you change.

Something I think would help with this and that I would really like to have as an option is to make my portrait appear for a few seconds whenever I change gearsets, so I can see what it's going to look like before I queue.

My portraits are always showing. You pretty much just have to make sure you always update the gearset if you switch something, that's about it.

I assumed that the Portraits would update if you were to change/alter something from the gear, guess not.

It isn't too much of a hassle to me but I do imagine it gets annoying for people who swap appearances a lot.

It also includes if you had a visor up or down and if you allowed your weapon to appear holstered.

Yeah it's really obnoxious so I just imported my Adventurer Plate unto each one then checked obsessively if I see that ! on my portrait.

I've had no problems with this system. I followed the warnings they laid out back in 6.2's patch notes. (Find >> " official release of portraits " )Resetting my gearsets took little time and only messed with my hotbars a little. I didn't do anything with my plate since beta, aside from add a new background.

I went through a whole bunch of gear changes for my SMN and any change has stuck. I've been using different glamour plates for my casters and haven't had a problem.

it was a best kept secret but i will share with only you. dont tell anyone. just make sure the little update arrows on the character sheet are grey. oh and the most recent portrait is saved also. so the save button needs to be grey. or dark yellow or whatever.

No, u must UPDATE/RESAVE Gear Set (and Portrait), every time u change Glam on Item, but first u need to UNLOCK gear SAVE button, by toggling Hide/Display headgear/weapon/visor back and forward. Only then gear on the portrait got updated, but also after that u need to RESAVE the portrait, doing the same, by opening portrait, switching background back and forward to UNLOCK save button.

So portraits are Riddles, u have to solve, to earn ability to use them ingame.
