New 6.3 Systems Settings Summary

Good to bookmark, I tend to not touch that much the settings but might turn off the portraits after a week of testing for example, it feels jarring at the moment lol

this is a much needed change but ive been playing without it since ARR that itll become hard for me to re-adjust lol

The pivot doesn't even bother me. Not much difference either way. It's convenient if I don't want to rotate with the mouse for a minute.

This was so much needed especially for gamepad/controller users, unless you wanna get constant eye strain while e.g. hunting mobs.

Imagine you walk North but want to look East with gamepad camera, it will always autoadjust to North because you are running that way, never able to clearly look to the sides. Or you try to walk South back straight but camera adjusts to circle around you a little.

If they could make us disable the flying particles "woosh-wind" effects too, that would be nice.

In Legacy mode, prior to patch 6.3, Move Left / Move Right would cause the camera to arc slightly, instead of maintaining the camera orientation. Disabling the pivot fixes this, so that you can Move Left / Move Right in a straight line.

Ok, while I would probably never turn it off and it's a great setting to finally have, the camera pivot was actually nice to have when you're just auto-flying and not panning the camera around.. I love being able to auto run/fly and look at things without camera moving on its own.. but I did also enjoy trying to fly towards a zone line and having the camera stay behind me while I make small corrections.. Idk. Small nitpick. Rather have that problem than the old one. Not really sure how/if they could combine the best of both worlds (camera stays fixed-ish behind you, until you manually adjust it to another position)..

Unrelated, but I'm dumping it here as a vent since nothing will happen anyway:

Love the addition of the aetheryte map in the Firmament. Now.. can we please, for the love of all things holy and perverse, finally get a direct Ishgard aethernet teleport to Coerthas Western Highlands?
