It would be great to see the buff cap increased. That would definitely help make the content more enjoyable than it already is, because we wouldn't see most of our kit vanish during burst windows no matter the class we play (some might be less affected than others but still, it shouldn't be happening at all).
I'm playing DNC in Delubrum Reginae (Savage) and it's impossible for me and whoever I dance partner not to buff cap unless we remove all of our defensive buffs (and it's still not enough).
As DNC, for instance, you can dodge your procs (especially the ones given by Flourish) and your Standard Steps. You won't even be able to dance and will potentially be left without your damage buff until it comes back off cooldown.
Also, as the original post of this thread says, even if the content it affects the most is "niche", it doesn't mean that we shouldn't talk about it / care. This buff cap issue has also been seen in DSR especially on tanks who dodged offensive buffs or defensive cooldowns (e.g. invulns) while heavily mitigating tank busters. If we get another large-scale raid or adventuring foray it will definitely happen again so that'd be nice if we were to see an increase of that cap at some point.
Honestly I got sick of baby sitting other players. So now I just show my own.
I agree that this is an issue. It feels horrible to buffcap and lose an important part of your kit, especially since you have little to no control over it. Sure, you can ask people to not use their defensives, but making people adjust their entire playstyle and discouraging the use of defensive buffs really shouldn't be the way. Especially when bosses are designed with using defensive or utility buffs on players in mind (e.g. Steelsting/Spellforge at Queen's Guard, Aethershield at Trinity Avowed and Queen).
While DRS is old content by now, it still has a dedicated player base that is heavily affected by this.
Here I thought it was only 20 since that's what it displays, but it looks like the other 10 are slotted as invisible.
They absolutely need to. Increase the buff/debuff cap and let us have a DoT job again please SE
the buff cap really is annoying and hinders the players' experience in coordinated runs.
please do something about it.
Maybe they'll give us a Dot/Melee Specialist Scouting armor..,
but on topic.
they may as well split the buffs even more.
dancer, dot(placeables like Bubbles, Salt. etc) and applicable permanent for awhile buffs like zone specific buffs separated into their own category so they can be seen Independently of your Combat important buffs.
At that point partner buffs like dance partner and few Buffs like asts may as well have a visual effect.<onto of the buff icon, add a red over lay on the partylist of who your active partner/s (name) as to differentiate between other party members and your partner. <Example: when you hover over a party member, the name, hp/mp, and bar light up a bit more, now it'll have a continued red hue, until "Partner Buff" is canceled. since in exploration zones, you're bound to have many Dancers/Partner Buffs, and it'll be hard to tell which is yours.>
But over all
Buff/Debuff increase will open up more than just gameplay assurance, but what they can do with jobs and encounters.
and not solely a QOL
Bumping for visibility :)
you don't want to enter any alliance raid that have a lot of RPR players, the entire boss's debuff will full of Death Design debuff :v
they need to change that by make 1 death design debuff from 1 RPR also apply to other RPR players
