Ok real answer: Sure, but they can just keep it for the initial arcanist levels. Rather than have them follow us around, we just summon them for their attack\stance and off they go.

Well since were dreaming here, can we cancel Hrothgars? I personally dont like them and theyre not as cool looking in-game as they are in their official artwork. Theyre not that prominent anyway c:

Im half-kidding. Im not seriously considering their expulsion from the game.


Just kinda salty that theyre not as cool looking as in their artwork. Heck I wish Hrothgars had the same structure and model as the Ronso from FFX, those guys and gals look heckin cool. But what we got is just a hunched second rate furry roegadyn model with some awkward face types. They just dont that good in this game's in-game artstyle imo but this is totally just personal taste. Im very well aware theres a big community that enjoys them.......

There's still a handful of people who enjoys them unmodded. But you'll find that the people who enjoy the Recycled Roe body and the Hunchback of Constipation are a rather low minority. I get sacrifices had to be made but uh... #Choices. We kinda have to make due with what we got.

-._.` still, my deal with Carbuncle is that, as it stands, it really doesn't have any good application. And Square made it kind of clear that they're not willing to go back to the old pet skills\AI aspect given how hard it was to balance and design around. If we're going to stick to the current design SMN has, the logical step really is to just rework Carbuncle.

Plus, I'm not even advocating for its absolute removal either, just for it to be the "initial form" until we gain access to "better" (arguably) Egis to summon. Make it show up, do its thing, then yeet.

Yeah I suppose just a changing it to where you dont need to summon it out in order to use the skills would work. Still think this is a very small complaint since I dont think people find carbuncles following them problematic.

lol, getting this upset over a sarcastic internet comment is funny. The devs treat hrothgars as the blu of races, it's not that shocking that many would rather them throw in the towel and focus on core issues.

A - I wasn't upset there? I was legit answering Atelier's comment that people only enjoy Hrothgar modded.
B - Yeah, it must be wonderful coming from the WHM of the races, eh?
C - Why are the Roegadyns suddenly bashing on Hrothgar anyway? I thought this was a thread on Summoners?

Edit, before y'all get your knickers in a twist: I played Roe for the most part until Hrothgar. Even at Atelier's random comment, I was just thinking "ok, wtf, why resort to that?".
