RMTs are starting to bother me...

I know most people like to make out that RMT are boogie men that steal all our money, but they are a business, they would not steal credit cards.

Well, they only used to steal our accounts back in XI to sell our stuff. Why not trust them as the legitimate business they are? I'm sure many people here must feel comfortable around them.

Completely different group of people.

Hint- the companies that farm the gold/gil/currency are NOT legit businesses. They are non-taxed, usually based out of China, and generally use stolen credit card information (China is the biggest culprit of stolen CC info in the world) to pay for the accounts in a roundabout manner, such as taking the credit cards, using them on non-returnable/refundable purchases, and then reselling those purchases for money used to purchase game time. There are middlemen companies that work out of the US in a "legit" manner, but they do not farm a single coin themselves.

Seconding Lady Lover's explanation.

Credit card fraud is mucho big time with RMT (stolen, falsified info, chargebacks, floating CCs). Where Click and Buy may have been a pain in the a$$, it's the price of security. ClickandBuy gave merchants a greater peace of mind that items or services purchased are purchased with legitimate funds. (validation requirements may have increased overtime due to fraud)

But seeing as the RMT suspects are present in the game, they must have found a hole in the defenses (most likely not with CaC).

The bot trains are annoying. What's even more annoying is the people that ARE CONSTANTLY botting the sheep in Coerthas and have gotten reported NUMEROUS times for betting and yet they are STILL THERE.

And people don't tell me I don't know if they are botting or not.

A. They don't respond to anything I say.
B. They kill mobs that I have claimed if they have enough HP left.
C. They use second wind on a time interval, even if they have full health.
D. They follow the same, predetermined path.

I mean COME ON SE, get your sh*t together and kick these people off. You have more than enough paying customers to afford kicking these people off.

well you should also check some Fishers most of them if not in masamune but the whole servers are bots with the exception of some (didnt say all) they stand still idle fishing in the same jigs as always (left>right>middle jigs) and God damn they have gear damage in almost all of their gear sometimes.
they almost broke the fishing markets, infact the only high fish in terms of prices is the Navigator ear cuz it comes from a school of fish but imagine if it was from fish able waters it will get downed to 1k~ if not 500gil cuz of botters the only real solution for this is either make fishing like the other DoL or make it like crafting where when you craft 10 times (idk how many) and then you get up it helped in fighting some Crafting bots atleast.
the RMT Alliance if am correct sell Gil in this game from leves imagine having 40 (thats what you said) and the leve reward is lets say 5k assuming only one guy is benefits from it:

(40 RMT [peeps] X [reward] 5500=250k for each leve they link)

Maybe because it makes people who legitimately pay for the game feel like they are playing a craptastic Korean f2p mmo where the devs just don't give a fu**. Actually I've seen more RMT banned from those f2p games than on here. Go figure.

RMT isn't some monolithic organization. Some RMT organizations do hack accounts while others don't; some hire goldfarmers from China, others pay goldfarmers that already made their gold like in Europe and North America. You may think they're all in the wrong, but that doesn't mean they're all the same.

But whatever. Back to OP - PLers/PL'ees bother me, but I don't go out of my way anymore to do anything about them. Live and let live.
