Apparently so. Personally I'd hate the stop-start music (it always drives me up the wall in games if you get snatches of different songs playing according to function) and I'd much prefer to listen to the music of the zone I'm in.

There is, its something with how they load it and how the mounts cant use the same tracks as the zones, it was explained a long time ago and after that they like to ignore the question.
...but really, find a workaround... it sucks.
Ah someone found it for me:

They don't because they "Don't have enough space", at least that was the excuse before.
Even though they obviously keep adding more and more mounts with other songs.
EDIT: Before someone gets mad about it, I went to try and look for it and have the thread with someone asking the same exact thing and my own post is there where I do exactly that and found a slightly related response
Sokken: I have a request for the sound team and QA for this. Something I always get asked about the Waring Triad mounts. A lot of time people think ur music is the latter half of the battle but I The Sephorot case it is the music from the first half of the fight. People say “change it!” But if we do change it people will say “why did you change it!”.
Yoshida: If we did change it we wouldn’t have the first stage music would not be on the mounts. As a development team people say “you could just change it” – as a development team if it were that simple we would have already done it. Everything in the game has an ID and there are no more IDs. https://www.brokenjoysticks.net/2018...-fest-qa-2018/
EDIT #2: Found a more official response but still not the one actually explaining the whole situation. From Live Letter 42.
Q40: Thanks for changing the music for the Alte Roite mount! Please let me know if you have plans to change any of the other mount music. Also, do you have plans to add more variations for the general mount music?
A40: I understand there’s a request to change the BGM from the general ones, but for those that may have split opinions on which BGM to use, we use the general one.
The amount of data we can apply to mount BGM is also becoming very tight, so it would be difficult to answer all the requests, but we’re considering them based on everyone’s feedback, so please be sure to let us know!
The music is fine
You are just...jelly..:cool::cool:
