That idea still ends up giving you less than what I'm proposing, which is two full sets of gear for half the work.

What you're suggesting provides a shortcut to full gear, which is not something they'll go for. I'm thinking of all the people that want to gear up a second job after they've spent their time fully gearing one.

It's the same damn problem as dungeon complexity, they don't do that because player will only use the most efficient gear/path
