Blue Mage Should be able to do the Main Scenario at least

I really enjoyed playing Blue Mage in FFXI, but here it seems that thanks to Yoshi's whims the class has to stay as little more than a side-show attraction that has less longevity than a temporary gacha event. At least there you can keep whatever 5-star rares you draw, here there's no point to the class outside of its 2 week bursts of activity.

I want a Blue Mage class that I can do more with than just Fate farm and Moogle Events.

BLU can actually do quite a bit of cool stuff. Between helping relic fate farms, fate farming in general actually, soloing Treasure hunt dungeons, getting mats from old trials, hunt marks, gear collecting in dungeons for gil or GC seals as well as the ability to be any of the 3 roles.

Unlike the other jobs the Blue Mage actually gets to keep their job progression the more spells they learn as opposed to other jobs being gated by level sync and skill acquisition by level.

You are actively rewarded for playing your job class over the course of the games life and when we get the new BLU update BLU's are gonna get even stronger while the other jobs in relation get weaker.

Ironically I feel like BLU would be the perfect MSQ job since the other jobs have the "carved with past deeds" whereas BLU has no past deeds so everything you do is creating your own deeds as a BLU instead of relying on the power of others you learn things for yourself.

Like even with the devs gimping BLU on weapons with no stats or weapon damage it still wrecks the place. It's that good. It's a great DPS, can be a risk reward Tank and is the games most engaging healer in the game by virtue of having an actual DPS kit instead of a joystick and one button.

Limiting the solo job from "solo content" seems a bit ridiculous no? Considering MSQ is primarily solo content?

who knows, with the lack of blue mage updates then you might just get your wish in 7.0

Personally I would love it if BLU could do Deep Dungeons. Solo only of course.

I like to see BLU get a extended new feature where they can transform into any monster they want either as a gameplay thing or glamour.

In case we don't get Beastmaster.

I have nothing against Blu doing any content outside of the normal duty finder system. Non-roulette, premade groups, solo-unsync’d? go for it.

Any situation where Blu would be grouped with random players in situations not specifically designed for Blu? Against.

Yes! Full support. Let us do more stuff with BLU. I loved Blu in xi. I even hope we get beastmaster (hopefully not as limited as blu :( )

Blue Mages are a mistake.

we all know Beastmaster cannot work without it being unlimited as a limited class..,
just like a Blue Mage cannot work as its class without severely kneecapping what it is at its core.

there should be more content or events that allow usages of blue mage.

I think some kind of small but chaotic exploration zone that benefits blue makes.<and doesn't require you to do the whole leveling, but> doesn't replace the normal way of its leveling would greatly benefit their kind of content.
[kinda like my idea of an exploration zone, with pvp skills, but that one. High Chance won't work.]

Technically the idea behind it is either that they focused too hard on the wrong mechanic (Learn vs Being able to use enemy skills) and that they didn't think outside the box when looking at skills that would otherwise look overpowered or silly. People like to insist on Self Destruct but to be honest we've done worse with other classes. Remember how DRK almost never uses MP, but their HP instead? :p GNB literally shoots itself in the face for an invuln.

The devs very much could have made it a job. But they didn't.

So... Eureka/Bozja but with BLU? Neat idea, but wouldn't that need to be updated with every level?

And yeah, GTK0HLK's right, Limited Jobs have opened up a possibility for different kinds of content that don't rely on a trinitarian approach.
But they've also opened up a precedent for classes that people ask for being relegated to Limited status... :x Nobody wants to expect a cool new job and then see it be shunted aside. Limited Jobs should be like GNB imo: unique to 14.
