Okay, the thought kept bugging me and I just had to see what crop-haired Y'shtola would look like - or an approximate face from the character creator, anyway. (Via amateur Photoshop, not modding, I should emphasise.)

I made the alt using the "Stormblood trailer monk" hairstyle and then in Photoshop I shifted everything inwards a bit to reduce the fluffiness of the top part, plus made a few copies of the fringe to cover up the plaited bit on the side of the head.

I probably should have taken screenshots in Gridania so I could try to merge the background properly, but didn't think of that until I'd already spent all the time messing around with the hairstyle on the Ul'dahn background.


Edit: Continued fiddling and got it looking even shorter with some shrinking and duplicating of picture pieces. (Still no effort spent on the surrounding image.)

I'm not sure that it looks better than the first version, but it seemed necessary in the spirit of the thread to get it as short as possible.

Forget those two and their constant death tropes. Same with the other major scions. We have Hoary Boulder for tanking! Let's bring in the other Scions too. Alianne, maybe bring her grandfather too, Riol, Coultenet, Ocher, Ephemie, Aenor, and all of the people I don't even remember, because they still had no screen time.
