This is rather frustrating...

We don't know what settings these screenshots were taken with. Too soon to judge, wait for video.

Gameplay footage will be a tell-all, honestly. Can't really judge a game unless you see it in motion, in my opinion, even if it's ridiculously pretty.

Plus, the new look is kind of like the lovechild of FFXI and FFXII. I fail to see the problem.

TBH I don't really care what settings these screens were taken at. If that's max, I'll still be happy.

Don't see even for a second how people think that shit is not absolutely gorgeous. Also I'm pretty sure they've said all their builds are running at lowest, or at least standard settings for now? so, yeah people can definitely chill out about the graphics.

What people? It's 1 guy starting that sh$t. He has been negative since the game has been released. Remember what the polls say, the vast masses who play this game don't bother with the lodestone. I am certain almost everybody is pleased w these caps

All I can say is I can't wait to see how it looks on MY system.

I dont recall how many times yoshi said that the graphics had to take a hit in order for this game to run properly on the ps3, its been alot though XD.

People are waaaaay too bored, we need those AF weapons already! Better be in 1.22b.

This is a false statement and it aggravates me when people use it. The majority of games these days are made with consoles in mind, namely the 360 and PS3. The 360 uses mid range hardware from 2005. It's now 2012. Any game made for consoles is not "Focused on graphics" at this point.

No, the problem with games these days is that they are marketed to the lowest common denominator, and are based on recycled concepts that are believed to be safe investments. Visuals have nothing to do with it

The graphics look great to me. As long as they give us a great atmosphere (which it seems they are! yay!) I don't see the problem with a very slight dip in graphics.
