Why does "The Island of my Dreams" look exactly like everyone elses?

I figured it was going to be like garrisons in WoW because, lets face it, limited space to build things so.. everything in its place.

it is side content, not "lets make a unique space" content.

I wasnt expecting much but I do hope they can use the island to expand our Grand Companies , perhaps make part of it a new outpost for them to train and go out on missions , perhaps even introduce a companion system so that they can join you as a open world party member for MSQ stuff or side quests , perhaps even give side quests a new reward so that they earn GCommand Minion Exp and GC Seals when they are out with you, plus add a new rank(s) with new things to buy in the vendor.

It would be cool if we could use dye on the buildings.

This is like asking why are there so many warriors of light flooding the streets and why do so many of them look the same.

We are all the Warrior of light; the game is designed theoretically for me, or you, or that bunny over there being the "only" warrior of light. So just pretend you are the only one with a island. :P

To be fair they're not WoLs to you, they're only your companions/adventurers, buuut if you did ShB then they justify it with "yeah there's oodles and doodles of WoLS you aren't special lol" :P
