I too also use Frontier 1GB... ping and all that is normal, just the spaz of random packet loss during peak hours.
If I'm understanding how the restore settings feature works, I haven't used it before so it doesn't let me restore it to an earlier time, unfortunately..
I just submitted a form and I'm also from SoCal with Frontier ISP. Having the same issues starting around 5pm. Hope it's resolved soon!
Frontier "answered" my chat but didn't respond to anything.
Anyways. While route tracing I'm getting problems communicating with frontier right off the bat.
I'm gonna try changing my DNS and resetting my modem.
You guys can try it out if you want. On windows open cmd and type in "tracert 204.2.229.10" (without the quotes)
My ping to the server is usually 15ms right now its averaging 30ms.
trace route shows Request Timed Out at 2, 6, 7, 9, 13 lol
Same here.. At the character screen my connection says excellent but around 8pm pst I start to lag like crazy... I'm in So-Cal and have Frontier
Same thing as above
Southern California Frontier
30 Ping to the crystal Data center showed a 5% packet loss
traceroute showed a request timeout at hops 8 and 14 (server in 15 hops)
Confirming this is happening to me as well
Socal, Frontier Internet.
My discord lags as well so I don't think it's just FFXIV...
From the looks of it its SoCal Frontier at peak hours since that is most of us in this thread.
Yeah it literally makes the game unplayable. Was trying to do the new EX on GNB and it was literally a joke. Ppl teleporting all over the place, skills not connecting, AOEs not showing, the whole shebang. It is always around peak hrs too, because I logged in earlier and it was perfectly fine.
