The people on the forums (mostly veteran players) aren't the ones falling for the links because they know all about them. They get new or returning players who haven't read the forums before but are curious to try.
Okay sure, the whole point was to just make people more aware of what attacks look like with an example URL, so they can actually catch that it's a phishing attempt if they ever see one. I only went through the cybersecurity training through my jobs, so I figured it'd be useful information to a good majority of others that have never learned this type of info, but I can remove the post I guess. Just saying "there's phishers" should already be obvious anyway.
wtf I don't see a delete option lol. Now my post is just a simple, yo there's phishers out there btw.
I think it's to avoid having smart guys creating insulting topics or sharing forbidden content and then deleting them to avoid any repercusion
Basically only a moderator can delete your topic and at the same time punish you, I hope you will have nothing because it's really not bad intentioned even if I know that GMs and moderators are merciless

Until SE gives us more granular reporting options in the context menu, I'm not going out of my way to explain to SE things they already know, such as it being a compromised account and the owners probably looking for it back, etc.
