Hi OP.
I started a thread on this exact same subject a few months ago(if you're interested, you can go to my profile and look at it. I don't know how to link to other threads on mobile) and I just wanted to say I completely agree. There's no reason for them to be this slow. I feel like a speed buff(or letting them benefit from Sprint/Peloton) would have been a no brainier.
