Just reward players for their activity involvement, like Besieged or Campaign on XI... Problem solved
I am just saying if the practice was FUN....ppl would not want to afk through it, becuase it's....you know....fun....
Not to get too off topic but I wish they'd change it so that the exp was given when you talk to the NPC like the deals are. Give us a chance to change classes.
There is no reason Caravan needs to be limited to 8 people, nor pty members only. It should be an open world event where a higher number of participants can engage in the event. Say 16 or so? Nobody is really doing Caravan for exp, that would be the only real reason to limit it to pty members.
1) more people could participate, difficulty would scale to match number of participants
2) EXP and Seals would be rewarded upon completion
3) Perhaps some sort of "much have engaged in combat" to receive reward? I don't know I'm sure they could balance it out to prevent lazy foalk from mooching. I've been doing caravan for a few days now honestly haven't had much of a problem with this.
My main gripe is really just the limited number of participants. It's kind of annoying having to switch out with people, or just not be able to do it because the main pty is full.
wait, people do caravan?!?
Why not just kick the leecher out of the party?
That is not quite how it works. The OP mentioned bringing a full party to Caravan, but as the sign-up period commenced (like Behest) an outsider got the eighth slot.
They are not in the OP's party, and cannot be kicked. They simply wander off to tend to other business while the OP's party does the work, and the leech receives the benefits.
Any solution involving regular players idling for a solid hour, hoping that the exploiter leaves, is simply not viable. A forced party is indeed a good idea.Quote:
If you have someone who want just be a leecher, do nothing. Maybe he go away after he get gysal green instead of seals the third time.
Might be something that has to be addressed in 2.0 as well. I can think of a couple of different ideas, which I'm sure have also occurred to Dev Team, but I doubt their validity in the current game structure.
They should make it like leves. Talk to the NPC and your group gets its own mobs and chocobos.
I concur. The leve system is severely underutilized, in my opinion. (o.O ) People talk about the difficulty of balancing lockouts with drop rates. Why not make things like Ifrit cost leve tokens?
Some balancing would be in order, of course, but it seems a good starting point.
