that was done with Age of Conan. I used to play that and I believe you played mostly single player till level 20 in Tortage (noobie Island). After reaching level 20, you went out into the MMO world. I can go either way with this to be honest. Doing that it got you to know the basics of how to play the game and the story. But with FFXIV you can practically solo most of the story from what I have seen. So it kind of feels like I'm playing a single player game for the most part, unless I find a group exp party.

I was hoping this would happen with that Vita talk Tanaka was rambling on about.

it just seems they can do a better story line with off line final fantasy games so if they could mix and match the 2 it be alot better i think the lame story line they got now dont even make sence
