Why are MMO players so threatened by people comparing their MMO to another? Seems like every time I bring up a system in FF14 that is better than Lost Ark's I get the same type of response there too.

Was with you till you mentioned Lost Ark. No...

The reward system in that game is exactly like mobile games that sprinkle a little candy here and there to get you hooked/force you to log in every day.

Who said I was threatened?
I was just pointing out you make alot of threads putting down FFXIV and Praising Lost Ark. Does this scare you or threaten your Thread in some way?

It's not just savage. Sometimes I want to play a blue mage, catch up on sidequests, level jobs, do job quests, grind in eureka, do POTD or HoH, grind a relic, do a sightseeing log, kill some hunts, treasure hunt or do savage raids. Instead of that diversity I would have to do Mentor Roulette all day just to get it in a timeframe that doesn't feel like forever. I have enjoyed doing the roulettes to level all of my jobs every expansion, but I always know how long each roulette takes on average. Trials roulette does not normally take more than 10 minutes and is usually not that mentally taxing, while alliance raid roulette can keep you there for 20-40 minutes and drain you with all of the deadly mechanics you need to watch for. With Mentor Roullete I don't even know what I am committing to or for how long.

Imma stop you there. What does "midcore" even mean?

Also, don't compare LA to FFXIV. LA is a p2w, gender locked, uber grindfest gacha, with more-bots-than-players-dumpster-fire that shouldn't even call itself an MMORPG.

It's basically when you've played the game enough to have a deeper understanding of the game than a typical casual, but not obsessed enough to be hardcore, and, sometimes as a bonus, not baby enough to be softcore.

Anyway, I think it's a fair comparison. Like it or not, the horizontal progression rewards in Lost Ark are very admirable and it would be nice to see FFXIV's rewards be improved upon in general (especially for the achievements shop).

You basically boiled down the entire post to 'oh you're just praising Lost Ark again, neeeext!'.

There are many things that other games, both newer and older, do far better than XIV. Looking at the competition and getting some inspiration isn't a bad thing to do.

Yup, to both Points.
It IS just another ""FFXIV bad and LA good"" post
At the same time, Im not advocating against learning from the Competition.

The main point of my Post at its core though, it is "Another" Post basically Advertising Lost Ark on the FFXIV Forums
I never said anything against it...just that it happened..Again XD
