I don't know about glowing. But maybe they could give u a icon or something that appears when you meet requirements.

Yes we desperately need indications of if our bonuses are working. I don't even know if my GC Spear counts as a "gear" for the 3 Pieces of Gear bonus.

no, no, and more NO. Sorry, if you want flasy things, there's other games like that. I like FF because of it's realistic aspect that's put in the fantasy.

What about just the sparkle effect that you see when you spiritbond gear? When you equip the last piece of armor for the set bonus you could get a sparkle/flash to acknowledge it. Then the sparkle goes away.

For weapons they could have their regular weapon models and when they're buffed and ready to go maybe each weapon has an inlaid gem on it somewhere that will glow/sparkle alone instead of the whole weapon.

Maybe the edge of the weapon can have a faint glow on it, downplayed Ifrit effect that shows that the effect is active but doesn't turn the weapon into a stupid fog machine.
