No joke, during one of my daily roulettes today I saw one member of the group rant about SE banning add-on users instead of bots. To be fair, it was only one comment and nobody else responded to it but its this self-entitled angry culture that while I understand comes from a passion for making this game better.... I just feel somehow got way into one side of the extreme and its tiring to watch.

In fairness, bots and RMT are arguably a bigger problem, and the task force is too small to deal with it all. Sure, both things are present in any MMO, but they do run rampant in FF XIV. And no, the Lodestone updates don't mean jack squat.

I dont often fully agree with you, but you are 100% correct. they need a FAR larger team and to use that shiney, virtually unused ban hammer on gil buyers. going after the bots will never work until they start cutting down the market for their product

It's not surprising that people who participate in one form of social media also participate in other forms of social media. Most players do not watch streams, be it on Twitch or Youtube. The presence of a topic across various platforms is not an indicator that a majority of players are participating in or even aware of it.

You are likely to come across more people who are aware of who Pyromancer is when discussing it on social media. If you attempt to have the same discussion in-game, you're probably going to run into more individuals who respond with something akin to "who did what?". They just don't care.. these topics are not on most people's radar. The first page of this forum looks like the land of Eorzea is on fire because this is an echo chamber, not because it actually is.
