Exactly this.
I think most FFXIV fans welcome the changes but the real problem is the lack of communication from the developers or even community managers.

How many times have the community managers actually talked to us about anything in the last 10 years?
Two?... Maybe three times?

The developers did a great job communicating the patch updates to us since Yoshi P joined the team back in 1.0.
In 1.0 and 2.0 it really made me care more about the game but it's been over 10 years now and they are due for more communication channels.
We need more communication about system/battle changes and more consideration of other methods of balancing instead of staying silent and hoping for the best.

The proof is literally in other games that have died and are dying in the last 10 years.

they didn't look at the 15 billion viera and hrothgar hair threads and just cheaply ported over some nonsense

If everyone just wants to silently grumble about it until the game's end of service, fine I guess. I want to play and love this game though, so more people speaking up like this is always welcome. I've been around for what, 12 years? I'm convinced I've "waited" long enough. I'm done hoping our next new content isn't a reskin of FATES or another memory game. Half complete races, a garbage housing system they decided to implement over instanced housing because they wanted to make it feel like "a community" when in reality a lot of the wards are ghost towns, and don't get me started on events and the mogstation.

Real nice that they decided against the demolition timer at first, then implemented it later to fix their failing system while also being able to keep homeowners hostage. Real cool of them to destroy jobs one by one in their vision, not the players. Any player from New World or Lost Ark can at least appreciate their Community Managers exist, even if it's still a disaster. I can't wait for RIOT's MMO with the way things are going. I have been patient for a long time, but I'm done waiting. If you're unhappy, I hope you also speak up on issues you have with the game.

They did ask the people watching the live letter for 6.1 if it should be half 1st come 1st serve n half lotto system. The people n possible bots attending kept saying lotto system all the way.

which makes no sense. a simple survey sent out to people who've been subbed for at least 4-6 months and don't currently own a house via e-mail would've provided a way better view into how people felt.

Your not wrong, I completely agree just felt like I should say they asked less than 0.1% of their community what was desired n well here we are with a system that doesn't work.

However it'd also be a fair statement that the lottery would've happened anyway given how many people complained that they didn't want to sit spam clicking a placard nor just on reddit or the forums but litterally anytime housing is brought up.

It kinda boils down to they had one chance to do it right n it didn't and now the trust is broken further.

WoW's issue was the reverse, see Mythic+
It became a game where the normal players had no place.

Maybe the developers are looking what spells are not much used or why one job in the same job class has much less players. Maybe that's the reason for some job adjustments.

Then they should have removed Undraw years ago ;)

I've had multiple instances where respectfully/purposefully discussing my disappointments with others was met with dismissal and an air of, "Oh well; move on." Kaiten is a perfect example. People are often quick to disregard a problem until it becomes their own—until it affects their main. If they rarely touched healers or tanks, all of this had been dull (or irritating) noise in the background of their FFXIV experience. So while I'm saddened to look at the ghost of Kaiten on my hotbar (not to mention the loss of parrying with Shinten and other potentials for Merciful Eyes), if 6.1 was what it took to shed enough light on these issues to get more players' attention, it was worth something.

Many are recognizing just how much job identity has been diminished since SB. I hope to see more speaking up, but I also hope to see the devs meet those efforts with receptivity instead of dismissal.
