Moon Phases

New moon gives a much better chance of harvesting +1 items with mining. At least in 1.22. I will not be posting a huge sample size or any stats, you'll just have to take my word for it and try it for your selfs.

'much better' here translates to HUGE. In new moon I consistently mine HQ ore and gems, something around the rate of 8-9 +1 items every 30 minutes. This is on grade 5 nodes.

I can also verify that new moon phase does increase Hq gathering chances.

Logic therefore dictates that New moon > Chance of HQ ore and HQ result while increasing failures while Full Moon = Crafting Success and melding success rate?

I do not see how new moon and full moon would effect melding. I'm of the belief a 22% chance is 22% regardless of the day and time.

From crafting I notice large increases in quality with same gear, lvlv, and synthesis than I see during full moon. During full moon I find it easier to increase progress

And here goes the myth again.
I am pretty sure I boomed as many during full moon as any other moon phase.

I refuse to believe that. I have yet to stick a double tier III or IV meld on a new moon and attempted about 10 more yesterday during the new moon. Waited for Full moon and boom, first try and then I got another double on my third attempt. I'm positive there's a hidden modifier somewhere.

Of course it could just be pure damn luck. That's how pretty much anything end-gamish works in this game.

I've double melded INT IV to lightning brands in all moon phases..
I'll say again, I don't know how anyone could construe 22% in full moon being better than 22% in new moon.
As far as gathering in new moon though, chances of finding +1 items are so much better it easily passes the eye test, no statistics required.
