This right here. If you want the relics after everyone is done with the zones, it's not going to happen. Content should never end up this way. All content in the game should still be doable years after it's done.
As for what I would create?
People complain that things are too easy. There would be a new raid difficulty as hard as Ultimate that required you to play with randoms, in first person mode with no HUD. Everyone has to have a perfect rotation and if even one player presses the wrong skill or has a moment their GCD is not running, the party instantly wipes. The fight must also be broadcast as a livestream by every player to ensure that no third party tools are being used, that includes voice chat.
A new map for the relic, where it's the best location to get what you need to upgrade it, however getting all the upgrades while completely ignoring the map is also possible, it would just be a bit slower.
Introduce job points. It's just the bozja system but for your actual character. Spend 120 jp and get a unique skill per class an a title! Lock ultimate and unreal fights behind a jp cost.
(one jp costs roughly 15m exp. :^) )
This! I've been saying this for months. We need a Danmachi, "Is It Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon" style unending delve to explore.
I would love an infinite dungeon/tower with larger floors than current Deep Dungeons and increasing difficulty as one progresses. Make the floors procedurally generated using environmental and monster assets from all the various zones so that each time you enter the dungeon it's got a new path, new environment, and new monsters. If they could figure out a way to make the paths non-linear, with branches and dead-ends, even better. Each floor would have a dungeon-level boss, there'd be a more difficult boss like the single monster FATEs every 5 levels, and a 4-player Trial difficulty every 10 . BAM, you've got infinite battle content for all skill levels.
I like the idea of Bozja style essences and actions too; that could add a lot of depth, no pun intended. Rather than having treasure chests all over the place, have Bozja style loot boxes with only the bosses dropping a treasure chest that gives a random item type based on the job when it opens (I can't recall what they're called). For example, one time it may be armor and the next, a ring. If they added Poetics and whatever the next non-time-gated tomestone is to it, even better.
If they came up with something like this I'd play TF out of it and I'm sure my FC and LS mates would too.
Someone's watched too much West Side Story...
