I don't see the problem of house owners entering the lottery?

Even if they win, their previous plot will be opened up for the next lottery so the net result is a zero?

It's not like they are getting a chance to own more houses at the expense of other players.

Instead of trying to gate the players from housing plots, why not turn your frustrations towards why there's such a turd housing system- the players didn't make it this way.

Well we pay same subs amount so no, you don't have right to ask us to not participate lottery :)

Wont be entering to relocate or upgrade. 1. Lack the gil 2. Happy with my plot and location. 3. In no mood to redecorate..

Bidding on a house in a prime location or to upgrade to a medium or large is best done by relocation.

They aren't going to remove that option even if the OP posts dozens of these anti current home owner threads. At least with a transfer you won't lose out on getting a house if you bid on a better one. Anyone bidding on a medium or large or a house in a prime location (like a beachside) will probably go homeless given the number of entries for those will probably be very high. I could be wrong and it'll be interesting to see how many entries a large, medium or prime location house gets.

As the 2nd post stated, the reason for the lottery is that everyone has the same baseline chance.

Don't take that away from people just coz YOU want a house ^^

I mean, have you read the OP's other posts? lol

You clearly didn't think this through. This is a very bad idea, specifically FOR people who do not currently have a house. I'll explain why.

You get ONE lotto ticket ONLY. After the 1st week, EVERY SINGLE Ishgard house will be gone. Maybe, just maybe if you happen to live on a really low population server, there will be a couple crap location houses that didn't even get 1 entry. (Yeah right, like bots and alts won't be all over those.) So now, if you didn't win in week 1, by week 2 you can ONLY put in for the currently open plots.

Under your system where no one who already has a house can transfer, you have zero open plots by week 2. However under the current system, where people can transfer, during week 2 plots that transferred will now be open and anyone can put in the single lotto ticket for it. This will include houses NOT in Ishgard. So if someone wants to now transfer from Goblet to Shiro, they can try their lotto ticket on an open plot in a new housing zone. Rinse repeat. Now by week 3, there are other plots available for people who transferred during week 2.

Transfers are what will keep a small trickle of plots coming open for several weeks, rather than everything being gone in the first round of lotto results.
