Increase penalty for people leaving roulettes

Someone bailed on the alliance roulette when LoTA popped up, and I followed them immediately since the penalty would not effect me after that. If people are going to force the roulette to run the same 3 all the time I will take every opportunity I can to avoid them.

Unless trusts allow you to get Roulette XP and Tome rewards, people will still Roulette.

As far as duty-leavers, Roulettes give you rewards for doing dungeons/raids you may not really feel like doing, and with people who may not play as optimally as you'd like. Sometimes these people can't even clear the content at all depending on what you get. You want the rewards, then that's what you deal with.

That said I feel the 30+ minute waits if you leave is already a good penalty.

I almost didn't clear the last dungeon in EW with my trust within the time limit. For some reason the first boss (I think it was) wasn't clicking for me as a DPS my first time playing it. It wasn't a boss I could stack myself over the healer due to the some of the mechanics actually needing you to spread out instead. There were many deaths I died because the NPC healer will not heal anyone during a mechanic - they stand still and wait for the mechanic to end instead of healing you while standing and waiting like a real healer would.

I still ended up finishing with my Trust, but the trusts do sometimes have very annoying behaviors on the part of the healer not casting a heal that could have saved you if you are hit by something before an unavoidable damage mechanic.

Trust healers are fortunately way better than Cecily my Squadron healer, who might as well just be entirely AFK lol.

For something that is rare that you claim as the opposite : Players leaving causes an entire party disband/causes the duty to collapse , certainly does not justify a 6 hour re queue penalty.

It may be slightly common that you get instant quitters in an alliance raid but its certainly not a common occurrence that entire parties disband. If insta quitters are doing this in a dungeon roulette the spots easily fill back up especially if you are playing prime time (evenings) which it sound like your are judging by your comments.

There is a penalty for queuing and abandoning already , and quite a severe one if the same player keep doing it.

What r u queueing for OP? I can count on my one hand ive seen mass exodus in a regular roulette like normal raid. All the sub extreme content is so easy. Occasionally some ppl leave an alliance raid, just click find members and u will fill up soon.

Or r u trying to get into extreme trials? Nobody wants to do those. If it is not something u can muscle through with gear and there is personal responsibility, u bet anyone with any respect for their time will leave immediately.

Ya I don't really have a problem with the current penalty ftr, if people wanna eat the penalty they'll eat the penalty either way, doesn't matter to me.

And oh I know, I just know that "implement trusts" is the popular suggestion since like.. there's no real other suggestion lol as far as I can think of anyways.

I just roll with whatever I get, idrc about people who play suboptimally and such, just as long as we eventually clear the dungeon I'm good to go. Some weeks ago I had someone in Prae talk about how they ditched Castrum like 7 times just to get into Prae, have to wonder about the sunk cost fallacy at one point lol

ROFL. I will admit, I was keeping a calendar and I got Castrum 13 days in a row. I was so mad I got Castrum again I left. I waited a half hour and I got Castrum again. I left. I went and did chores and returned and I got Castrum. I just sucked it up.

I don't leave Castrums anymore, and only had left that one day due to getting it 14 (and 15 and 16) times in a row with my documenting this. But even leaving once often feels like a waste of time to me, let alone 7 times.

I can't deny that the Castrum chain is rough, feels like you never get off of it once you get on so I totally get why'd you RQ it lmao. Maybe someone in SE is out to get you specifically ngl, testing your mental fortitude by throwing it at you over and over. I was in the same boat as you about early Feb, just now started getting Prae thrown into the mix recently. I just don't bother leaving lol, I'm already kind of impatient so adding 30mins onto a duty on par with a short film will kill me

Personally, I think the 30min penalty is to harsh as it is.

If I wanted anything extended, it be the queue popped timer. Sometimes 45 seconds just isn't enough. The number of times had to use the rest room and then sprint across the hallway with my pants down just cause I heard the queue noise.

I agree with many of the others that the penalty is harsh enough and does not need an increase. As an average player plays for around 2 hours or so per day, a 30 min penalty is 25% of their playtime gone for the day. Any further increase will cause resentment for the developers and we do not need nor want that.
