Hey, maybe this time we'll actually get an ending, instead of just trailing off.

At least this time could make sense as part of the last EW area.
Gear (for both genders) was the only good thing about any of the NieR raids and the only reason I continue to unlock it on alts.
Well okay, gear and music and a few fun bosses, but I wouldn't bother unlocking it just for the other things.
It's just an overly long and tedious quest chain for a complete lack of engaging story/characters and a miserable ending.
Isn't this just a collab for that Nier gacha game? FFXIV also had collabs with other gacha games.
from the title card's logo placement I figured this is just the inverse of what happened last time around. ie. instead of Nier stuff in XIV, the Nier phonegame will get XIV stuff.
As someone who played and enjoyed both NieR games forgive me but the NieR story we got in FFXIV was a pathetic disservice to the NieR series, only made tolerable by the battle content which was by and large expertly done and enjoyable.
I am not interested in more NieR outfits if another collaboration comes to pass-give us flight units instead.
They always could. Not sure if you're saying that's a good or bad thing though.
Anyway. Those aren't what I'm after. (Personally I think they look quite unflattering on prettymuch anyone, and none of my characters would wear something that revealing.)
From the Type-51 sets I mostly like the men's coats; the women's tops and dresses make the waist too thin and I don't like it. I do want to get the caster dress for my Roegadyn though. And of course there's the aiming/scouting hood which is good for everyone.
Type-53 sets are okay. The coat collars are all a bit too high for my liking. Female mage shorts-and-stockings are cute.
Type-55/Obsolete sets... I like a lot of pieces from those actually. Female tank set is cute, though I wish the sheer fabric was black rather than brown (it looks odd on my green Roegadyn); male version also good (and they get better boots). Mage sets can look good on both genders, though the male hair decoration sticks out at an odd angle; I really like the single glove balancing the lopsided tunic. Female DPS sets are nice and I think I would have preferred that design for both genders, though I haven't tried to do anything with the male outfit.
